About Conni

What makes me

God – he’s the foundation of my life, the savior of my soul, and I am nothing without him.

My husband Brian – We met when we were 17, in a highschool physics class.  I remember the physics teacher asking Brian if he was studying my “electromagnetic spectrum” instead of paying attention in class.  (or something to that effect – the years make the physics terms foggy).  We didn’t really date until 5 years later and were married just over a year after that.  He is truely my best friend, soulmate, and the best business partner I could ever ask for.  Not to mention a wonderful father.

My kids – Hunter – my cautious 4 year old, and Adelle, my crazy 2 year old and Eve my newest sweet baby. Time moves too quickly and they are only mine for but a moment.

The color Red – really it’s more than an obsession than a love.

Pugs – I love pugs!  Really any "ugly" dog - I love the smushed faces! We have one named Loki – he was my first baby.

Handsome little Guy | Edmonton Newborn Photographer

Just before Christmas I had the pleasure of photographing this adorable little guy. Baby J was so sleepy and curly and yummy! So happy I got the chance to snuggle him for a little while. Here is a sneak peek of his session!

A glimpse into the future – the “S” family | Edmonton Family Photographer

This family was a glimpse into our future I think. Just slightly older than our own soon-to-be three children, they have a similar age gap as we have/will have. We had so much fun! These kids were bundles of energy and honestly I’m not even sure how their parents keep up with them! They are super parents for sure! Here were a few of my favorites from the session.

And one that shows a little more of what’s really happening during this shoot. Love it!

A couple of my favorites of all three kids

So fun to work with them! I love kids with energy!

Six Month Milestone | Edmonton Baby Photographer

I couldn’t believe when I looked at the calendar and realized it was time for baby J’s 6 month milestone session. In fact he was closer to 7 and a half months when we actually got together but he had been sitting for weeks – months even. He is such a strong little guy – he’s probably going to be running within another couple months. It makes me thankful for my slow walkers – but I know J is adored by his parents and they are having so much fun watching him just take off and grow!

Here were some of my favorites from that day.

In only a few months we’ll be getting together for his 1 year old session! Keep your eyes open for that one – isn’t he gorgeous?

I apologize for the blogging break I’ve taken as of late! We had a very busy few months leading up to our Christmas break and unfortunately I fell behind. Which I mean to remedy very soon here! I have a few sessions to post from November as well as a January that is quickly becoming full as well! We are so excited for 2010. We have some exciting things in store for Constance Pohl Photography, as well as for our own family!

We’re so excited to announce that baby #3 will be joining us this next year. Hopefully late June or early July – before it gets too hot! We’re just drooling over the fact that we’ll have a willing subject again…oh and have a new baby – I guess that’s good too ;)

I’m not one for new years resolutions but as I was looking over the past few months I realized that I had taken just a handful of snapshots of my own kids. Sad. So this year that is my resolution – to try to get more shots of just every day life. I encourage you to do the same! In honor of the only resolution I’ve ever made I will be blogging a series on how to get the best possible pictures of your kids! I know we have lots of mom-ographers, and dad-ographers out there!

I promise to take more pictures exactly like this…
